      Overview

      Generative AI and machine learning are currently changing the way work is done in the CAE and simulation domain. By integrating AI directly into existing SDM systems (simulation data management), engineering processes can be made more efficient, transparent, and easier to access.

      • AI supports engineers with time-consuming tasks such as data analysis, documentation, post-processing, and troubleshooting, without replacing existing engineering processes.

      • SDM systems form the foundation for AI-enabled CAE workflows, as they centrally link and provide simulation data, models, versions, and processes in a structured way.

      • Technologies such as generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and knowledge graphs significantly improve the search, reuse, and evaluation of simulation and engineering data.
