The paper describes the integration of simulation data management (SDM) into ANSYS Workbench. The goal is a centralized, versioned management of simulation projects to improve traceability, reproducibility and collaboration in CAE workflows.
Versioned project data: Simulation projects and their input data are managed centrally so that changes and results are clearly traceable.
Reproducible simulations: Linking project states with CAD, material and parameter data enables reliable reproduction and comparison of simulations.
Integration into existing workflows: The integration with SCALE.sdm complements ANSYS Workbench workflows with a structured simulation data management, without fundamentally changing existing work processes.
