This year’s automotive CAE Grand Challenge took place in Hanau from 29 to 30 September 2020. We were on site with one of our SDM experts and gave a lecture. The presentation can be downloaded here:

Predictions of simulation results by integrating the SIDACT tool SDMZIP into simulation data management solutions from SCALE

Over the last 30 years, computer simulation has become an indispensable tool in automotive development. The automotive CAE Grand Challenge is an established platform for the exchange of ideas between engineers, software developers and scientists. Challenges in virtual vehicle development and approaches to their solution will be discussed.
Every year, the current challenges in the “automotive CAE” environment are determined by a survey among simulation experts. One of the main topics is the evaluation of simulation and test results with AI + ML – a topic that SCALE also deals with in research projects and theses.
