SCALE Foundation

DYNAmore GmbH has founded a new, 100% subsidiary, SCALE GmbH. The goal is to offer software solutions and IT services for process and data management as well as FE method development in the automotive industry.

On behalf of AUDI AG, various software products have thus been developed at DYNAmore and SCALE in recent years:

• LoCo
  Management of simulation models, variant management, model construction and load case generation, mapping of CAE processes.
• CAViT
  Integrated delivery and comparison of simulation and test results.
• Status.E
  Monitoring of the development status of vehicle projects including document management.

In particular, the LoCo product, which currently has over 400 users at Audi and a large number of external service providers, is currently being used intensively in many different simulation departments. Currently, LoCo is also being introduced at other brands of Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft.

SCALE GmbH was founded for the purpose of further developing and marketing these and other software products within and outside the Volkswagen Group. The company name SCALE stands for “Scalable Solutions in the Area of Simulation Data and Process Management”, which can also be used as a cooperation platform for external development partners.

In order to be able to fulfill the obligations in the area of operation, support and further development associated with the software products LoCo, CAViT and Status.E, 20 employees from the simulation and process management area of DYNAmore Dresden and Ingolstadt will transfer to the newly founded SCALE GmbH based in Ingolstadt. The activities in the area of crash calculation with LS-DYNA remain completely unaffected by this personnel change and will continue unchanged at DYNAmore.

Dr. Heiner Müllerschön, Managing Director of SCALE GmbH emphasizes: “It was important to us that we can now more easily develop our software into standard products in this rapidly growing area of simulation and process management. With AUDI AG, we have a strong partner who shares our visions and will continue to develop with us. At the same time, we now have the opportunity to offer our solutions to other customers within and outside the Volkswagen Group. We see great interest and are convinced that the user base will grow strongly in the coming years.”

The company DYNAmore stands for excellent support in the numerical solution of nonlinear physical problems. The product portfolio includes the finite element software LS-DYNA, the pre- and post-processor LS-PrePost and the optimization software LS-OPT as well as numerous FE models for crash simulation (dummies, barriers, pedestrians, human models, …). The main focus is on support, sales, training, engineering services, software development and system integration. DYNAmore is one of the first addresses for pilot and development projects for the simulation of nonlinear dynamic problems.
