      W-PostSDM | WebGL application for efficient 3D visualization of fuzzy simulation results of virtual vehicle development.

      Content

      The project, which is funded by the BMWi, is being implemented as part of the “Central Innovation Program for SMEs (ZIM)” funding program. The goal is the development of a browser-based software W-PostSDM, which contributes to the efficient transfer of fuzzy simulation results from a data center to the client workstation and their platform-independent visualization in the environment of simulation data management (SDM). With the establishment of WebGL (Web Graphics Library), a technology is available that enables the browser-based visualization of 3D geometries in an extremely efficient manner. The focus is particularly on strongly nonlinear numerical simulations of complex models from the field of short-term dynamics, such as crash simulations at the level of the entire vehicle. The goal is the high-performance transfer and caching of simulation data for a fast visualization of geometries in the web browser.
